Between Forests and Skies 与天空

An immersive, low-carbon aluminum pavilion has been constructed in The John Madejski Garden. This innovative design uses a minimal amount of material to create a structure that appears delicate yet is robust, showcasing the unique qualities of aluminum.

The designers used sheet metal, transforming two-dimensional objects into complex three-dimensional spaces with minimal cutting and bending. Although the aluminum forms are extremely thin, the structure is self-supporting, capitalizing on aluminum’s inherent strength. The resulting space is an artificial reflective forest suspended between the water and the sky. This space frames, shelters, and reflects its surroundings.
